Just curious…

Pickleball Gains Momentum in Cary

April marks National Pickleball Month, and Cary is highlighting its growing lineup of opportunities for players of all levels as the town prepares to host the Veolia PPA National Championships later this year.

Local players can take part in summer pickleball leagues at Cary Tennis Park, explore newly resurfaced courts expected to open in May, or join open gym sessions at community centers. The town is encouraging both experienced players and newcomers to get involved as interest in the sport continues to rise.

Cary’s leagues will be organized through Play Team Pickleball, a team-based format designed to combine competition with a social atmosphere. Matches will be held at Cary Tennis Park and McCrimmon Park, with teams required to have a captain who is a Cary resident.

Court access varies by membership status. Annual passholders at Cary Tennis Park can reserve outdoor courts several days in advance, while non-passholders can book courts up to 16 hours ahead for an hourly fee. Outside of reservations, courts remain available on a first-come basis during regular hours. Players can also check daily court schedules online. Learn more here

We need this 😂

A mall in China has introduced "husband storage" pods where wives can leave their husbands while shopping.

Each pod contains a chair, monitor, computer, and gamepad for playing retro 1990s games.

The initiative has generated mixed reactions on social media, with some viewing it as an incentive for men to accompany their wives shopping, while others question its purpose.
