Teenager Dies After Two-Car Wreck at Cary Intersection

A teenager died Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision at a Cary intersection, according to police.

The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Louis Stephens Drive and Morrisville Parkway. A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of a green Honda Civic failed to yield while attempting a left turn onto Louis Stephens Drive and was struck by a blue Jeep Cherokee.

A teenage passenger in the Civic sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, where they later died. Authorities confirmed the passenger was under 18 years old.

As of early Friday evening, police remained at the scene to continue their investigation and urged drivers to use caution in the area.
