Bad news is good business. Not everyone buys it.

Every morning, financial news follows the same script. Headlines panic, coverage catastrophises, and somewhere inside the noise is the story that actually matters — the one that tells you where the opportunity sits, not just where the fear is pointing.

Most sources have stopped looking. The alarm is easier to sell.

The Daily Upside was created by Wall Street insiders for readers who crave real insight over recycled anxiety. Five minutes of global business and finance, before the noise sets the agenda — just the facts, context, and analysis your decisions need.

Join 1M readers — including managing directors and principals at some of Wall Street’s largest institutions — who trust The Daily Upside to filter through the chaos.

The upsides are always there. We’ll find them before breakfast.

Cary Nonprofit Helps Families Navigate Huntington’s Disease

HD Reach is presented with the May 2026 3-Degree Guarantee check for $2,400. (CBS 17)

HD Reach, a nonprofit based in Cary, supports individuals and families across North Carolina who are affected by Huntington’s Disease, a rare inherited neurological condition that impacts movement, cognition, and behavior. Symptoms typically emerge in adulthood and progressively worsen over time.

The disease carries a significant family impact because children of an affected parent have a 50 percent chance of inheriting the gene. While there is no cure, medical treatments can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Since its founding in 2009, HD Reach has provided confidential care management, social work services, educational resources, peer support opportunities, and assistance connecting families with specialized healthcare providers and community services.

The organization was recognized in May as the CBS 17 3-Degree Guarantee charity, receiving a donation generated through a month-long weather forecasting initiative. The funding helps HD Reach continue offering support to families regardless of their financial situation or insurance status.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
A: Red River of the South

The Red River of the South defines the southern border of Oklahoma. It stretches for about half of its 1,290-mile length forming the exact boundary separating the state from Texas. It gets its name from the red-bed clay soil of its watershed, which gives the water a distinct reddish-brown appearance during heavy flows.
