Crash Expert: “This Looks Like 1929” → 71,105 Diversifying Here

Mark Spitznagel, who made $1B in a single day during the 2015 flash crash, warned markets are mimicking 1929. Seems extreme but we did just see the worst quarter for the S&P since 2022.

So it’s not so surprising that Vanguard and Goldman Sachs forecasted 5% and 3% annual S&P returns respectively for 2024-2034.

Late last year, Apollo’s chief economist Torsten Slok put it this way: "expect zero in return in the S&P 500 over the coming decade."

Almost no one knows this, but postwar and contemporary art appreciated 10.2% annually with near-zero correlation to equities from 1995–2025 overall.*

And sure… billionaires like Bezos can make headlines at auction, but what about the rest of us?

Masterworks makes it possible to invest in legendary artworks by Banksy, Basquiat, Picasso, and more – without spending millions.

Cary Real Estate Market Trends

Inventory at season high — 715 active listings as Memorial Day arrives

Active listings climbed again this week to 715 homes — the highest point of the spring season — as sellers push to capture peak demand before summer slows. The median list price holds firm at $639K, flat year-over-year, while days on market ticked up slightly to 31 days. Price per square foot slipped 1% to $263, a signal that buyers are applying modest downward pressure on value.

The good news: Bankrate data confirms May is historically the best month to sell in Cary — homes move fastest and for the most money right now. The spring window is still open, but it won't be for long.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
A: Hyperion

The tallest tree in the world is a coast redwood named Hyperion, which stands at an incredible 116.22 metres (381.3 feet) tall. It was found on August 25, 2006, by naturalists Chris Atkins and Michael Taylor. It is estimated to be between 600 and 800 years old.

Species: Coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens).

Location: Redwood National Park in Northern California, United States.

To protect Hyperion's shallow root system and surrounding ecosystem from foot traffic, the National Park Service keeps its exact location a strict secret. In fact, the area surrounding the tree is completely closed off to the public. Visitors caught trying to seek it out face heavy fines and potential jail time.
