Question: In the movie "Saving Private Ryan", how many of the Ryan brothers were soldiers?

(Answer at the bottom of the newsletter.)

Parents across Wake County often wonder how their teens can build a creative portfolio that stands out when applying to college.

The 16th Annual Wake County Teen Art Exhibition in Cary is designed to give student artists exactly that opportunity. The exhibition displays work from students across roughly 50 Wake County schools in a real, professionally curated gallery setting - the kind of experience students can list on a resume or college application. The exhibition runs May 6-27, 2026.

The community is welcome to attend.

Cary Real Estate Market Trends

Inventory surge is the week's headline — 708 active listings and climbing

The biggest shift this week: active listings jumped from 616 to 708 — a 15% increase in just seven days — as sellers rush to capitalize on peak spring demand.

Despite the inventory surge, the median list price is holding firm at $639K and homes are still moving in just 27 days, identical to May 2025.

The sale-to-list ratio of 97.9% tells buyers they have modest negotiating room, but well-priced homes are not sitting. The market is absorbing new supply efficiently — a sign of genuine underlying demand.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
A: Four

In the 1998 movie Saving Private Ryan, there were four Ryan brothers serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. Three brothers (Sean, Daniel, and Peter) were killed in action during the Normandy invasion, leaving James Francis Ryan (played by Matt Damon) as the only survivor and the target of the rescue mission.
