Holiday Schedule Announced for Cary Facilities and Collections

Cary’s Town Hall and most staffed facilities will stay closed through the Thanksgiving weekend and reopen on Monday, December 1. While curbside collection will follow a regular schedule through Wednesday, Thursday’s pickups will be delayed until Friday. GoCary will not run any transit services on Thanksgiving Day.

For residents enjoying the outdoors, Cary Tennis Park and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve will remain open with regular hours. Holiday events also begin this weekend, including the return of the Chinese Lantern Festival and the launch of downtown Cary’s festive lights and displays.

The town encourages residents to recycle used cooking oil through its curbside program and to begin preparing for the second round of loose leaf collection, which starts Monday, December 1.

NC State Hosts UNC in Saturday Night Rivalry Finale

ANorth Carolina will face NC State on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET in its final regular-season game, which will be televised on the ACC Network and streamed on FuboTV. NC State enters as a 7.5-point favorite, with the weather expected to be cool and mostly dry.

The Wolfpack have dominated the rivalry in recent years, winning the last four matchups and finishing strong at home this season with a 5-1 record. Last season's game saw NC State come from behind to secure a win in the closing minutes.

While UNC holds the historical edge in the series, the current momentum belongs to NC State. Only one Tar Heel, Spencer Triplett, has been part of a win against the Wolfpack during his college career.

The game will be called by Chris Cotter and Max Browne, with sideline reporting from Ashley Stroehlein.
