Why Bioavailability Matters in Your Supplements

“Dr. Estelle is an absolute sunbeam — a brilliant blend of warmth, wisdom, and energy. Through her work, she helps people reconnect with balance and wellbeing in a way that feels empowering, approachable, and real.” - WBON Triangle
It’s not just what you take, it’s how your body absorbs it.
This is where bioavailability comes in - meaning - “Can your body actually use this?”
If your body can’t absorb a nutrient, it can’t benefit from it.
Some nutrients need special delivery systems or forms to get where they need to go. And in midlife, when absorption naturally declines and nutrient needs shift, this matters more than ever.
A few examples:
Liposomal vitamin C absorbs better than a basic tablet
Methylated B vitamins are easier for many women to process
Chelated magnesium (like glycinate) is more gentle and effective than magnesium oxide
CoQ10 as ubiquinol is better absorbed than ubiquinone as we age
Liquid or nano-formulas often outperform traditional capsules
If you’ve ever taken a supplement and wondered, “Is this even doing anything?” the issue might not be what you’re taking, but how it’s formulated.
That’s why some of my favorite daily supplements use two or even three advanced absorption technologies to make sure the nutrients actually get in and do what they’re meant to do — not just pass through.
When supplements are designed with bioavailability in mind, you’re more likely to:
Feel a difference in energy, mood, and focus
Get better results with fewer products
Support your gut, hormones, and immune system effectively
Avoid cheap fillers and wasted money
It’s not about taking more.
It’s about taking what your body can actually use.
Not sure if your supplements are actually doing their job?
Optimizing Absorption, Not Just Intake: While eating a balanced diet is essential, many women still struggle to feel the benefits of the supplements they take—often because the body isn’t fully absorbing them. To help you get the most from your routine, I offer a curated selection of bioavailable, high-quality supplements designed for better absorption and real results.
I’ll help you take a closer look at what’s on your label, book a Live Well Consultation for personalized recommendations that fit your unique needs.

Two Food Recalls Announced
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams issued a nationwide recall of its Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars after discovering undeclared wheat and soy allergens in batch 25-210. The allergen contamination occurred when a crunch topping from another product was mistakenly added. Consumers with allergies are advised not to consume the product and to return or discard it. Recall Info
Mangalm LLC recalled its Tops Mixed Fruit Jam and Tops Strawberry Jam after it was found that both products contained carmoisine, a coloring agent not approved for food use in the United States. The recall affects batch #4F1101 (475g jars, best-before 10/06/2026), which was distributed in California, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
Recall Info
No health issues have been reported in either case. Consumers are encouraged to return or dispose of the affected items as a precaution.
These recalls highlight the importance of accurate labeling and compliance with U.S. food safety regulations.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
A: The Turkish lira
💡Turkish lira (TRY) is divided into 100 kuruş. In 2005, Turkey revalued its currency by removing six zeros, creating the “New Turkish Lira,” though it’s now simply called the Turkish lira again.
