The Case for Simple Self-Care That Works

The demands of daily life can leave you feeling depleted, whether from endless responsibilities or the emotional weight of expectations. When that happens, there is little left for your own well-being.
You can’t pour from a cup that’s been drained by everything and everyone else. Or maybe it’s overflowing…with to-dos, emotions, and expectations and so it’s bone dry when it comes to you.
Restoring balance does not require a dramatic life overhaul. Instead, small, intentional choices can make a lasting difference.
Just real-life actions like:
Getting outside for 5 minutes of fresh air
Moving your body in a way that actually feels good
Saying yes to quiet and no to what drains you
Trying a recipe from that saved folder you keep adding to
Calling or texting the friend you’ve been meaning to check in on
Eating food that fuels—not just fills you
Going to bed 15 minutes earlier You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You just need a moment to support the woman or man doing it all.

Recalls Announced for Pecans, ALDI Dessert Dip
Two separate recalls are underway involving products sold in the U.S. and abroad. Navarro Pecan Holdings, LLC is recalling more than 32,000 pounds of various pecan types due to potential Salmonella contamination. The products were distributed to multiple states and exported to several countries. Consumers are advised to check their pantries and dispose of any affected products. Read Full Report
In another case, ALDI is pulling its Park Street Deli Cinnamon Bun Dessert Dip from shelves after discovering potential plastic contamination. Nearly 19,400 units are affected, and the FDA has categorized the incident as a Class II recall, indicating that the health risk, while potentially serious, is likely temporary or reversible. Read Full Report
Both recalls stress the importance of avoiding consumption of the affected items. Customers are encouraged to either discard them or return them to the point of purchase. Public health officials continue to monitor the situation and urge consumers to remain cautious.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
Dogs were likely first domesticated from wolves in Siberia around 23,000 years ago. This process is thought to have occurred as some wolves, attracted by human camps and scavenging opportunities, gradually became more docile and integrated with human populations. Over time, humans selectively bred these tamed wolves for specific traits, leading to the diverse range of dog breeds we see today.
