Cary Favorite Kababish Café Implements QR Code Pricing

Cary Residents Embrace ADUs for Family and Flexibility
A recent Cary Spotlight poll asked readers how they might use an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) if zoning regulations and financial constraints were not a factor. The results suggest strong community interest in ADUs as tools for multigenerational living and flexible lifestyle needs.
The most popular use, selected by 36 percent of respondents, was to house aging parents or other family members. Respondents highlighted the benefits of proximity, independence, and strengthened family bonds.
Another 26 percent favored using ADUs as a home office, studio, or guest suite, citing the appeal of having additional space for work or visitors without disrupting the main household.
Use as transitional housing for adult children or recent graduates garnered 16 percent of the vote, while 10 percent saw value in ADUs as rental or income properties. About 13 percent expressed no interest in building an ADU, regardless of feasibility.
The responses reflect a strong preference for keeping loved ones close while accommodating modern work and housing needs.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
The phrase “No taxation without representation” became a rallying cry for American colonists in the 1760s and 1770s as they protested British taxes imposed without their consent. Colonists argued that since they had no elected representatives in the British Parliament, any taxes levied on them were unjust. This powerful slogan captured the growing frustration that ultimately fueled the movement toward revolution and independence.
