Cary Welcomes New Memory Care Community

On June 5, The Blair Memory Care Center officially opened its doors in Cary, drawing strong community interest and support. Located on W Chatham Street, The Blair is a fully renovated memory care facility designed to meet the unique needs of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions.

The center emphasizes dignity and engagement, offering a secure environment paired with wellness-focused programming and therapeutic activities. Its care model is centered on personalizing support for each resident, helping them live as meaningfully and independently as possible.

The opening celebration, organized with the Cary Chamber of Commerce, featured a ribbon-cutting, facility tours, and a warm welcome from local leaders and healthcare professionals. Cary’s Pride Month celebration continues tonight with the Pride Pop-Up Chorus at The Cary Theater, beginning at 7 p.m. This one-night-only event invites anyone who enjoys singing—no experience or rehearsals required—to join a community sing-along celebrating inclusion and joy.

Participants will learn two classic songs from professional conductors, rehearse together, and finish the evening with a filmed group performance. Whether you sing in the car, in the shower, or haven’t sung in years, all are welcome to show up, sing out, and celebrate Pride in a fun, low-pressure environment.

The event is part of Cary’s broader commitment to building a community that celebrates diversity across all ages, backgrounds, and identities. Tickets are available online, and rainbow flags are welcome.
