The shop channels 100% of its profits to food pantries across the region, turning every purchase into a step toward food justice.

Cary Soccer Soars, Canes Fall in Game 5
It’s a transitional weekend in Triangle sports as the Carolina Hurricanes wrap up a memorable playoff run and Cary’s pro soccer teams continue building momentum. Here’s what to know:
The Carolina Hurricanes were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a hard-fought Game 5 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night. While the season ends short of the Finals, the Canes’ nine playoff wins marked their deepest postseason push since 2006 and a new high under coach Rod Brind’Amour.
Off the field, the North Carolina Courage are making headlines with record-breaking spring attendance. Average home crowds are nearing 8,000, with four of the first five home matches ranking in the club’s all-time top 10. The May home matches alone drew nearly 18,000 fans, and the club is on pace to break 100,000 total attendance for the first time ever.
North Carolina FC returns to play on Saturday with a road test against Richmond Kickers in the USL Jägermeister Cup at 7 p.m. ET (streaming on ESPN+). Richmond leads USL League One in scoring but is winless in its last six matches. NCFC enters on a high after a 4-2 win over Oakland and a seven-match assist streak from midfielder Mikey Maldonado.

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
The octopus is a fascinating marine creature with three hearts—two that pump blood to the gills and one that circulates it to the rest of the body. Remarkably, the main systemic heart actually stops beating when the octopus swims. This is why octopuses prefer crawling to swimming—swimming is so energetically taxing that their circulation briefly halts, making it an unsustainable way to move for long periods.
