Day 1: Arrival and Stone Town Exploration

  • Morning: Arrive at Zanzibar International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich history and vibrant culture.

  • Afternoon: Embark on a guided walking tour of Stone Town. Explore landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, and the Sultan's Palace. Triangle Travelers Get More Options as Frontier Revives Las Vegas Flights

Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is set to see Frontier Airlines resume its nonstop flights to Las Vegas in 2025. The Denver-based airline last operated the route in 2023 and plans to make tickets available starting May 22, with year-round scheduling dependent on demand.

Frontier’s presence at RDU has grown significantly, with a 12 percent increase in passenger numbers this year, contributing to the airport’s record-setting performance. The airline, known for its ultra-low-cost model, joins Delta and Southwest in serving the RDU-Las Vegas route, providing more flexibility and potentially lower fares for travelers.
