Cheese Rolling Champion Abby Lampe Defends Her Crown Amidst Muddy Mayhem

At the historical Cooper’s Hill in southwest England, Abby Lampe of Smithfield, North Carolina, excelled once again in the ancient and exhilarating sport of cheese rolling.

Surpassing her competitors with impressive speed, Lampe captured her second consecutive title by chasing down a 7-pound wheel of Double Gloucester cheese down the notoriously steep and muddy hill.

The event, cheered on by thousands, highlighted not only individual bravery and skill but also celebrated longstanding local traditions, including the grueling Tetbury Woolsack Races. Read Full Story

Richard Rodgers Link to Bio

Richard Rodgers, a legendary figure in American musical theater, achieved the rare distinction of becoming the first EGOT winnerβ€”someone who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award. His illustrious career was marked by his collaborations with lyricists Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II, leading to the creation of timeless classics like Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, and South Pacific.
