NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine welcomed three endangered red wolf pups, a crucial addition to a species facing extinction.

This development complements a victorious year for NC State, with both its men's and women's basketball teams achieving remarkable success.

Special Event for French Bulldog Enthusiasts Coming to Downtown Cary

In the spirit of community and canine camaraderie, French Bulldog owners and their beloved pets are invited to gather this Sunday for a special event dedicated exclusively to this charismatic breed. The meet-up, scheduled for 3 p.m. at Park Street Arena in Downtown Cary, promises an afternoon of mingling, friendship, and playful antics, tailored specifically for French Bulldogs and their enthusiasts.

Participants can look forward to an environment where the distinctive charm of Frenchies—recognized for their iconic bat ears and robust personalities—is celebrated. The event provides a perfect setting for these dogs and their owners to connect with others who share a similar affection for the breed.

Those planning to attend should note a few key guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times during the event. Additionally, while the gathering is open to all who enjoy the company of French Bulldogs, the space is specifically intended for this breed.

Access to the venue can include the purchase of an annual or day pass to the Barkyard and other Cary dog parks, available at Guest Services located beneath the Cary Regional Library near The Nest. Learn more

How a Simple Web Page Can Double Your Business's Income

Sometimes making more money in your business comes down to some small change that you can make fast. That’s the kind of thing that all of us are looking for.

Unfortunately, we usually have to pay big bucks to get the experts to tell us these kinds of secrets. Well… Not today.

Today, I want to share a simple tweak that we made to a friend’s website that doubled his business’ trackable income in around 30 days (and held steady after that). It all comes down to a simple page that you can add to your site. This page is the “Our Story” page.

The pieces of a highly compelling “Our Story” Page.

  1. Who you were before your business. (Tell people the story of the life that you had before that sent you on the path to being the expert that is now running your current business.)

  2. What you saw that the world was missing. (A big gap in the marketplace that you saw and looked around to see who might be filling it… but came up short because no one was).

  3. Why it made you mad that it wasn’t a reality. (Really stress that you knew the community deserved to have this gap filled and that you were so passionate about the community having it… that you decided to start it yourself).

  4. What you went through to get the business started. (Detail the struggle that you went through to get the business off the ground. People love the walk through the “struggle” and will admire your passion).

  5. What your business is all about now (your mission statement and/or unique thing), Is it “we make the absolute best thick crust pizza in the state” or “the only board certified cat therapist in town”?.... Tell them

  6. A Call to Action. (tell them what to do next to be a part of your story)

Why is this page so effective?

Simply put… when you can get people involved in your story, it’s bigger than just a transaction. It’s all about becoming part of the story and seeing what all the fuss is about.
