That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.
Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.

NC Voters Approve Three Constitutional Amendments
North Carolina voters supported all three proposed constitutional amendments in the November 3, 2026, election. Unofficial results showed approximately 60% support for restricting local property tax revenue increases, 62% support for capping state income tax rates at 3.5%, and 60% support for expanding constitutional voter ID requirements. The amendments must still go through official election certification.
The property tax amendment requires the General Assembly to establish limits on how quickly local governments can increase their total property tax collections. However, lawmakers have not yet determined the specific formula or exceptions. Supporters say the measure will protect property owners from rising tax burdens, while opponents worry it could restrict funding for schools, emergency services and other local programs.
The income tax amendment reduces the state's constitutional maximum income tax rate from 7% to 3.5% for both individuals and corporations. It does not automatically lower taxes. North Carolina's personal income tax rate is already scheduled to decline from 3.99% in 2026 to 3.49% in 2027. Supporters view the amendment as protection against future tax increases, while critics argue it could limit the state's ability to respond to financial emergencies.
The voter ID amendment extends the state's constitutional photo identification requirement to absentee ballots submitted by mail. North Carolina already requires identification for mail-in voting under existing law, so voters will not face an immediate new requirement. Supporters argue that the amendment strengthens election safeguards, while opponents question whether it could create unnecessary barriers for eligible voters.
For Wake County residents, the property tax amendment may have the most direct implications for local government operations. County leaders have warned that future revenue limits could complicate funding decisions involving education, public safety and essential services. The extent of those effects will depend on legislation establishing the property tax limits.
What North Carolina Residents Should Know
🏠 Property taxes: Lawmakers must establish limits on growth in local property tax collections. The exact rules are not yet determined.
💰 Income taxes: The constitutional maximum falls to 3.5%, but the scheduled 2027 personal income tax rate remains 3.49%.
🪪 Voter ID: The constitutional requirement will cover mail-in voting, which already has identification rules under state law.
🏫 Local services: Future property tax restrictions could affect how counties and municipalities fund schools, public safety and other programs.
📅 Next step: Statewide election results are scheduled for certification on November 24, 2026.

A: Sir Walter Raleigh
Sir Walter Raleigh was famously beheaded on October 29, 1618. The English explorer, writer, and former favorite of Queen Elizabeth I was executed at Old Palace Yard outside the Palace of Westminster in London. The execution was ordered by King James I after Raleigh returned from a failed expedition to South America and was re-implicated in a 1603 treason conviction.
