Major Marijuana Trafficking Bust at RDU Leads to Three Arrests

At Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU), a significant drug trafficking operation was thwarted with the arrest of Austin Butler, Anthony Cummings, and Brandon Brown Jr., who were found in possession of 121 pounds of marijuana.

Butler, identified as a key conspirator, faces several felony charges, including conspiracy to traffic and trafficking in marijuana.

Cummings and Brown Jr. are similarly charged, with allegations pointing towards a collaborative effort to transport the illegal substance through the airport. WBON Triangle Teams Up with Food Bank to Fight Hunger in Central & Eastern NC

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, supported by volunteers from WBON Triangle, continues to make significant strides in hunger relief across 34 NC counties.

With a weekly distribution of 2 million pounds of food, including fresh, locally grown produce, the organization's efforts culminated in the sorting of over 35,000 pounds of food in just one day, providing 29,167 meals.

This initiative underscores the Food Bank's four-decade-long commitment to nourishing communities and building sustainable solutions to end hunger.

Operating with a network of over 800 partner agencies and multiple distribution facilities, the Food Bank empowers North Carolinians through access to nutritious food, education, and community partnerships.
