Elon's new company is private. These 3 tickers aren't.
The next Apple may already exist. Insider sources say Elon has spent two years building a secret device inside Tesla's facilities — one he claims will be "10x bigger than the largest product in history."
There's just one problem: the company is private, and unless you know Elon personally, you can't buy a single share. That was true until Guardian's research team found three public ticker symbols sitting in the launch supply chain.

You won't hear these names on CNBC — Wall Street hasn't published a word on the connection. But when the launch hits September 21, that quiet ends.
Some are already calling this the biggest opportunity since AI. For anyone who missed Apple before the iPhone, this may be a second look at that kind of setup.

Wake County’s Rapid Growth Takes Center Stage in Annual Address
Consumer Reports is not recommending any of the 13 electric scooters it recently tested, with higher speeds emerging as a major safety concern. While the fastest scooters in its 2022 testing reached about 15.5 mph, models capable of reaching 20 mph have now become common.
At those speeds, unexpected hazards such as gravel can become more dangerous. Two Consumer Reports testers were injured during the latest evaluations, including one who hurt his shoulder after encountering gravel while turning at approximately 20 mph.
The warning comes amid a substantial increase in reported e-scooter injuries. Consumer Product Safety Commission figures cited by Consumer Reports show injuries rising from roughly 10,500 in 2017 to nearly 80,000 in 2024. Many of those incidents did not involve another vehicle.
Braking can present its own challenges. A rider's weight shifts forward during braking, reducing weight on the scooter's rear wheel and potentially increasing the chance of a skid, particularly during a turn.
For people who choose to ride, Consumer Reports recommends wearing a properly fitted helmet and other protective equipment, reducing speed and staying focused on surrounding traffic, pedestrians and road conditions. Phones and headphones can create additional distractions.
Riders should also check local regulations before heading out because rules covering e-scooter speeds, minimum ages and where scooters may be ridden vary by community.

Why Consumer Reports Stopped Recommending E-Scooters
Brookdale Cary honored resident Ruth Jeanne Marmarose in recognition of National Centenarian’s Day. At 101, Marmarose continues to maintain an active daily routine that includes getting ready for breakfast and taking a walk.
Earlier in life, she briefly served in the Nurse Corps before working as a real estate agent while her children were growing up.
Travel has also played a major role in her life. Brookdale Cary says she has visited 15 countries and taken more than 30 cruises, along with enjoying gambling during her travels.
Marmarose attributes her longevity to good genes, hearty food and an active lifestyle, offering a fitting local story for a day dedicated to celebrating people who have lived for more than a century.
