I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?
You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.
Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?
Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.
The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.
That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.
Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.
Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.
If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.

Cary to Reevaluate Busy Intersection After Residents Renew Safety Concerns
Residents in Cary's Ardmore neighborhood are once again asking town leaders to improve a busy intersection they say has become increasingly difficult and dangerous to navigate.
Drivers leaving Medfield Road onto NE Maynard Road say they can spend several minutes waiting for a safe opportunity to turn left or cross four lanes of traffic. Limited visibility over a nearby hill has added to residents' concerns, with some saying the current stop sign leaves drivers guessing when it's safe to proceed.
The Town of Cary has studied the intersection twice over the past six years. In both cases, the town and the North Carolina Department of Transportation determined that a traffic signal was not warranted.
Town officials say another traffic analysis will be conducted later this year as part of a routine review process. The study will evaluate traffic volumes, crash history, and field observations to determine whether a signal or another type of improvement is appropriate.
While residents hope the latest review leads to the installation of a traffic signal, town officials note that signals are not always the safest or most effective solution and that other improvements could also be considered.

Carolina Flyers Playoff Features Cary's Own Jr. Hype Man

For the first time this season, the Carolina Flyers are bringing professional Ultimate Frisbee to Cary, and one familiar local face will be helping lead the excitement.
Twelve-year-old Emerson Pauley, a Cary resident and the team's Jr. Hype Man, will be back on the sidelines Friday night as the Flyers host the San Diego Growlers in a win-or-go-home UFA South Division playoff game at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The game marks a rare opportunity for Cary families to see one of the country's top professional Ultimate Frisbee teams without traveling to Durham, where the Flyers typically play their home games.
After finishing the regular season with a 10-2 record, the Flyers enter the playoffs undefeated at home. A victory Friday night would send the team to the South Division Championship.

Emerson has become a fan favorite over the past two seasons, entertaining the crowd with contests, giveaways, T-shirt launches, and on-field activities throughout the game. After the final whistle, fans can meet players for photos and autographs, making it one of the Triangle's more interactive professional sports experiences.
The playoff matchup begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 24, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Tickets are on sale now, and the team is expecting one of its largest crowds of the season. Learn more, https://watchufa.com/flyers

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇
A: Java
The Java programming language uses a blue coffee mug with red steam rising from it as its official logo. The iconic steaming cup represents the massive amounts of coffee the original developers drank during long nights of programming.
The language was originally named Oak, but due to trademark issues, the team renamed it Java after the Indonesian island famous for its coffee beans.
