Student-Led Initiative Aims to Boost Narcan Availability at NC State

NC State University sophomores Naila Din and Alyssa Price launched a GoFundMe campaign to bring more Narcan to their campus, setting a goal of $7,500.

Motivated by personal experiences and a commitment to student safety, their initiative addresses the high cost of Narcan and the need for its wider availability.

The university, which has distributed 744 Narcan kits in two years, supports such efforts, but Din and Price aim to ensure that Narcan is easily accessible to all students in case of emergency. Read Full Story

Bandwidth Chooses Remote Work Flexibility Over $32M North Carolina Incentive

Bandwidth, a major tech company in Raleigh, withdrew from a $32 million incentive agreement with the North Carolina Department of Commerce that required adding 1,100 local jobs.

This decision allows Bandwidth greater flexibility in accommodating remote workers following its global expansion. The move is in line with current trends towards remote work, especially in the tech sector.

The Duke women's basketball team is preparing for their annual Pink Game on February 19, 2024, against Notre Dame, honoring breast cancer survivors.

A Survivor Reception will be held before the game, where attendees will receive complimentary tickets and a t-shirt, along with a photo opportunity and a meet-and-greet with Coach Lawson.

UConn Leads Stable Top Five in AP Top 25 Amid Ranking Upheaval

In the latest AP Top 25 poll, UConn continues to lead the pack in men's college basketball, followed closely by Purdue, North Carolina, Houston, and Tennessee.

The top five remained stable, but the lower rankings saw considerable movement. Wisconsin climbed to sixth, while Duke also rose in the rankings. Iowa State made the biggest jump to twelfth. Conversely, Auburn and Oklahoma faced significant drops.
