Health Data Privacy Breach: Novant Health Settles for Millions

Novant Health in North Carolina agreed to a $6.6 million settlement in a lawsuit regarding the misuse of Meta Pixel, a tracking tool on its patient portal and website that allegedly gathered private medical information. 

The issue extends to other hospitals in the region, with WakeMed and Duke University Hospital facing similar legal challenges.

While Novant Health maintains the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing, the case highlights concerns over patient data privacy in the digital age. Read full story

UNC Tar Heels Triumph in Physical Battle Against NC State, 67-54

The UNC Tar Heels overpowered NC State 67-54 in a highly physical match. Both teams, undefeated in the ACC, battled for supremacy, but NC State's poor shooting, particularly from three-point range, proved costly.

UNC, led by R.J. Davis and Harrison Ingram, capitalized on this, demonstrating superior rebounding and offensive efficiency. The game's aggressive nature and UNC's resilience under pressure were pivotal in their commanding win. Read full story
