Where to Eat on Christmas Day in Cary
For Cary residents planning to dine out on Christmas Day, several local restaurants will remain open on Dec. 25, 2025, offering both dine-in and take-out options. While many establishments across the Triangle are operating on limited holiday schedules, Cary has a solid mix of independent restaurants serving lunch, dinner, and late-night meals.
Restaurant operators caution that Christmas Day is one of the busiest dining days of the year. Many locations require reservations, and take-out orders often come with longer-than-usual wait times. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and confirm hours directly with restaurants before heading out.
In Cary, several international cuisine spots will be open throughout the day, including Indian, Asian, and bar-and-grill options. A handful of nearby locations in Apex and Morrisville may also be convenient for Cary diners willing to travel a short distance.

Arrest Made in $93,000 Identity Theft Scheme in Wake County
Wake County deputies began investigating in December after a resident reported discovering unfamiliar bank accounts and credit cards in default on their credit report. The accounts had been opened without the victim’s knowledge.
Further investigation revealed that multiple businesses had also been established in the victim’s name in Maryland, each connected to unpaid financial accounts and loans. Authorities estimate the combined losses at more than $93,000 over an extended period.
Based on that evidence, deputies secured arrest warrants for Wisdom Banks-Bey, outlining dozens of felony charges tied to identity theft and financial fraud.
Banks-Bey was later arrested at his Glen Burnie home by Maryland authorities and taken into custody. Investigators say the case is ongoing, with no additional information available for now.
Amazon’s Expanding Use of Robots Raises Questions for Workforce
Leaked internal documents reported by The New York Times suggest Amazon is exploring automation on a scale that could eventually replace hundreds of thousands of jobs nationwide. That possibility has raised questions about what the changes could mean for regions with a large Amazon footprint, including Charlotte.
Robots have been part of operations at Amazon’s Charlotte fulfillment center since it opened in 2019. Automated systems now handle many physically demanding tasks, while employees focus on oversight, problem-solving, and logistics planning.
Amazon says this approach reduces workplace strain and allows workers to move into more advanced roles. Company leaders point to employees who began in manual positions and now manage forecasting and operational planning.
While Amazon acknowledges that roles are shifting, it disputes the idea that robots will lead to widespread job losses. The company says automation supports faster deliveries and long-term growth, with human workers remaining central to its operations. Read Full Report
As Amazon expands the use of robots in its warehouses, how do you think automation will affect the local workforce?
