Reduce Everyday Toxins With This Simple Morning Habit

Dr. Estelle is an absolute sunbeam — a brilliant blend of warmth, wisdom, and energy. Through her work, she helps people reconnect with balance and wellbeing in a way that feels empowering, approachable, and real.” - WBON Triangle

Modern life exposes us to a wide range of low-level toxins—air pollution, plastic residues, and chemicals found in everyday personal care products. While individually minor, these exposures can add up over time, placing stress on the body’s detoxification systems such as the liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin. This cumulative burden has been linked to symptoms like fatigue, sluggish digestion, and difficulty managing weight.

One practical habit that can support the body's natural detoxification is starting the day with a glass of warm water and lemon. This small step helps hydrate the body after sleep, stimulates the digestive system, and provides vitamin C to aid liver function. For convenience, many people keep a glass of water by their bedside to drink first thing in the morning.

Some individuals may also benefit from supplements designed to assist the detox process. One such option is Purifi, which combines chlorophyllin to help bind environmental toxins and herbal extracts like milk thistle and dandelion root that promote liver health. This can be particularly helpful during times of travel or increased exposure.

Simple lifestyle changes can also make a difference. Regular consumption of cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and kale may enhance liver detoxification enzymes. Light physical activity, such as a brisk 15-minute walk, supports toxin release through the skin. Replacing conventional cleaning and personal care products with non-toxic alternatives can further reduce exposure.

These everyday strategies offer a manageable path toward reducing toxin load and supporting long-term wellness.

Book your free wellness chat with Dr. Estelle and let’s make toxin-fighting simple, science-backed, and totally doable in your busy life.

FDA Issues Recalls for Boar’s Head Cheese, Belevini Fish

In the past week, two high-risk food recalls have been issued by the FDA. The first targets select Boar’s Head Pecorino Romano cheeses and ready-to-eat meals containing them due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. These products were distributed nationwide, and though no illnesses have been reported, the FDA urges consumers to discard or return them and sanitize any items they contacted. Recall Info

The second recall involves dried whole salted fish from the Belevini brand—specifically smelt, mullet, and goby—because of the danger of Clostridium botulinum contamination. The bacterium can lead to botulism, a rare but severe illness that can be life-threatening if untreated. Recall Info

In both cases, consumers should act immediately by checking their food products, avoiding consumption of the listed items, and following safe handling practices.

These warnings are especially important for vulnerable populations such as pregnant people, seniors, and those with compromised immune systems.

How closely do you check food labels before buying or consuming a product?
