FDA Issues Recall for Baby Powder Sold in NC Over Asbestos Risk
Dynacare baby powder, distributed by Dynarex Corporation, has been recalled in North Carolina and 11 other states due to potential asbestos contamination.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the recall after routine testing found traces of asbestos, a known carcinogen. The recall applies to batch/lot number B051 with an expiration date of December 28, 2026.
The product was sold on Amazon and distributed to retailers across the country. Dynarex has ceased distribution and launched an investigation into the contamination. Consumers are urged to stop using the product and return it for a refund. No illnesses have been reported as of now.
Contact Dynarex Corporation at 888-396-2739 or 845-365-8200 during business hours or via email at [email protected] if you have any questions or need information on how to return the product or receive a full refund. Read Full Report

Wake County's New Library Card Puts a Book in Your Wallet
Wake County has introduced a redesigned library card in the shape of a book, offering a fresh take on a familiar tool for avid readers. Over the weekend, county officials shared images of the new card design on social media, drawing attention to its unique look and practicality.
The initiative aims to make the library card more memorable and easy to locate, with the added charm of resembling a bookβa fitting nod to its purpose.
New library cards are available at all Wake County Public Library branches. Those applying for the first time will need to present a photo ID that includes their current address or a separate document, such as a utility bill, that verifies their address.
Existing cardholders can simply request the new design, and their information, including reading history, will be seamlessly transferred. Read Full Story

The Answer to the Cary Spotlight Hook Trivia Question πππ
The albatross is a remarkable bird known for its ability to sleep while flying. These birds spend long periods at sea, often flying thousands of miles without landing. Albatrosses enter short periods of sleep, called unihemispheric slow-wave sleep, where one half of the brain rests while the other half remains alert to navigate and avoid obstacles. This adaptation allows them to travel vast distances over the open ocean without needing to stop frequently.
For more information on the albatross and its unique flying abilities, you can visit the National Geographic page on albatrosses.
