Make Your Steps Count: Walk with Skylar's Striders for CF Awareness

The Great Strides Walk, organized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Central/Eastern Carolinas Chapter, will feature "Skylar's Striders," a dedicated team led by Jennifer Davis, aiming to raise $6,000 towards cystic fibrosis research.

Scheduled for May 18, 2024, at Brier Creek Park, Morrisville, NC, the event invites community members to support the cause by joining the team or participating in their unique Flip Flop Fundraiser.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that CF stands for "Cure Found," emphasizing community involvement in the fight against the disease.

Chick-fil-A Modifies Chicken Sourcing Strategy Amid Supply Constraints

Chick-fil-A announced a change in its chicken sourcing standards from "No Antibiotics Ever" to "No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine," a decision driven by the anticipated difficulty in meeting its strict supply criteria.

This strategy allows for the use of certain antibiotics in chicken farming, ensuring the well-being of the animals without compromising antibiotics critical for human health.

The fast-food chain, still dedicated to offering high-quality food, has not specified an exact date for the implementation. Alongside this shift, Chick-fil-A is also expanding its menu by testing pizza offerings, signaling the brand's efforts to innovate and cater to diverse consumer tastes. Read full story.
