Bizarre Theft and Chase: Wake County Ambulance Stolen During Medical Call

The quiet of a Sunday afternoon in Zebulon, NC, was shattered when a supposed medical emergency at a local Walmart escalated into a criminal episode.

A man, initially the focus of an EMS call, assaulted a crew member and commandeered a Wake County ambulance.

The ensuing police pursuit ended with the vehicle's capture and the arrest of Leandro Limon, 33, of Bailey. Limon, now facing serious charges including felony larceny and assaulting a government official, is detained on a $100,000 bond.

The theft not only posed immediate dangers but also resulted in significant property damage, including to the stolen ambulance itself.
