Holiday Season May Bring Higher Gas Prices in the Triangle, Experts Warn

With winter break beginning and holiday travel increasing in the Triangle area of North Carolina, experts warn of a likely increase in gas prices.

Triple A reports the current average at $2.95 per gallon, but a rise is expected nearer to Christmas. Despite this, drivers like John Adams and Laresa Stubbs express that the anticipated price hike won't alter their travel plans, especially since prices are currently lower than they were in previous months.

Mickey Mouse to be Free for Public Use in 2024

Mickey Mouse, as originally featured in the 1928 "Steamboat Willie" film, is set to enter the public domain in 2024, marking a significant moment in copyright law.

This change will allow free use of this early version of Mickey Mouse, but newer versions and Disney's trademark on the character will remain protected.

NC State Secures Top Recruit: Grimsley’s Terrell Anderson Rejects Georgia

Terrell Anderson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound four-star wide receiver from Grimsley High School, has officially signed with NC State, ending speculation about a possible commitment flip, particularly to the University of Georgia.

Anderson, who had received an offer from Georgia and visited the university, chose to honor his initial commitment to NC State.
