Florida AG Investigates College Football Playoff Committee Over FSU Exclusion

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has initiated an investigation into the College Football Playoff selection committee's decision to exclude undefeated FSU from the playoffs.

The investigation, led by the office's Antitrust Division, will issue a civil investigative demand to probe potential anticompetitive practices and scrutinize the roles of various collegiate conferences. The focus includes examining restrictions on playoff schedules, ethics, conflicts of interest, and detailed voting processes.

The move follows Governor Ron DeSantis's proposal to allocate funds for possible litigation regarding FSU's snub, which has sparked widespread criticism, especially given Alabama's selection despite having one loss. ACC Wrestling Teams Shine in National Rankings, Set for High-Stakes Matches

Last week, the ACC witnessed two major victories in non-conference dual matches, with Pitt defeating Ohio State and Duke winning over Davidson.

As the fall semester concludes, five of the six ACC teams are gearing up for more action. In the latest NWCA poll, four ACC teams are ranked in the top 25, led by NC State at No. 2.

The ACC's overall record this season stands at 26-8, including a 5-3 record against top-25 teams. The upcoming week is pivotal, featuring matches between top-ranked teams, including No. 11 Virginia Tech against No. 19 Stanford and No. 13 Pitt facing No. 5 Cornell and No. 6 Iowa State.
