Where Vino Meets Community: Inside Cary's Beloved Chatham Street Wine Market
In the heart of downtown Cary, nestled amidst its bustling streets, lies a treasure trove for wine lovers โ the Chatham Street Wine Market. Since opening its doors in October 2015, this neighborhood wine shop has emerged not just as a business but as a vibrant community hub, thanks to the vision and dedication of its owners, Doug and Bonnie..
Doug, with a rich nine-year background managing wine shops in New York and North Carolina, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this venture. Bonnie, while juggling her role as a full-time realtor, lends her charm to the shop, making it a warm, welcoming space. Together, they have created more than a store; it's a gathering place for the community, complete with a shaded patio and cozy indoor lounge, adorned with velour chairs and couches.
The essence of Chatham Street Wine Market lies in its carefully curated selection. Focusing on small production wines from around the globe, many from family-owned estates and organically grown, the shop offers a range that appeals to both the casual drinker and the connoisseur.
