Drone Drug Delivery: Two Arrested for Smuggling Contraband
Jada Young and Dorian Mallory were apprehended in Bennettsville, South Carolina, for allegedly using a drone to fly drugs into Evans Correctional Institution.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Department of Corrections, discovered a drone and drugs in the suspects' SUV near the prison.
Young is charged with criminal conspiracy and introducing contraband, while Mallory faces more severe charges including methamphetamine trafficking and marijuana possession with intent to distribute. Read full story.
Sheetz Slashes Gas Prices to $1.99 for Thanksgiving Travelers
Sheetz has launched a Thanksgiving week promotion, reducing the price of Unleaded 88 gas to $1.99 per gallon, a notable decrease from the national average of $3.308.
The offer is valid at participating locations in several states until November 27. This price drop is part of a larger trend of decreasing gas prices, with expectations of lower prices continuing into early next year.

Downtown Cary Park Opens, Celebrating Two Decades of Vision
The Downtown Cary Park officially opened this weekend, marking the completion of a project initiated by the Cary Town Council in 2001.
The park, featuring a skywalk, play areas, and community spaces, was commemorated by artist Daniel Nelson, who painted a portrait of the park's pavilion.
Prints of this portrait will be distributed to the Town Council members. The park's opening has significantly enhanced Cary's downtown, with more celebrations planned for December 2nd, including holiday festivities.

Wolfpack Dominates the Pool: NC State Women Take First, Men Second
During the NC State/GAC Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, the NC State women's swimming team clinched first place, while the men's team secured second place.
