Cary Man Faces Federal Charges for Daycare Death Threats
Kevin Douglas, a 46-year-old from Cary, appeared in a Raleigh federal courtroom facing charges for making death threats against a daycare.
The threats, directed at a facility near where Douglas lived, were serious enough to prompt his arrest. In court, his behavior, which included visible annoyance and talking to himself, led Judge Gates to propose a mental health competency evaluation.
This recommendation came despite initial plans to continue the case post-Thanksgiving. The evaluation's outcome will determine the scheduling of Douglas’s next court appearance. Read full story here.
