MLK Day 2025: Opportunities for Service and Reflection in Cary

On January 20, 2025, communities across Cary, North Carolina, will come together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a variety of meaningful service projects. The day, recognized nationwide as a "day on, not a day off," encourages residents to dedicate their time and energy to acts of kindness and community improvement.

Each initiative reflects a different facet of Dr. King’s dream, from fighting food insecurity to fostering community connections and caring for the planet. Together, they offer residents of Cary and beyond a chance to make an impact and to carry forward the ideals of equality, service, and compassion.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 20, 2025, the Cary, North Carolina area offers several community service opportunities:

MLK 5K Walk for Hope
Join Mt. Zion Church and the Town of Cary for a 5K charity walk. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support Dorcas Ministries.
